Reclaimed Wood Story
Pine planks where milled and used in a Georgia Tobacco barn in the mid 1800's. The light brown stain is from the inside of the barn where the Tobacco cured and the red is from the outside of the barn.
The barn was demolished and it was reclaimed by a restaurant called Nosh by Robert Irvine in the Tanger Outlet.
McGrath Custom Hardwoods of Hilton Head SC acquired the wood when the restaurant was sold to Salty Dogs.
I purchased it from them to fashion the item you hold in your hands.
Enjoy and remember it comes with a great history.
